The spine of the NATO defense ammunition is still dominated by the 9x19 mm caliber. The old soft 9x19 FMJ ammunition is no option for modern combat situations. The VBR-Belgium 9x19 AP6.3 cartridge with his solid steel/brass composition can handle a lot of challenges concerning body armor. This is a cause for the NATO Army Armaments Group LCG/1 to examine the performances of new 9x19 AP ammunition.
