 Relaoding the 7.92x24 S / FPBB-73 cartridge. Minimize

The 7.92x24 S / FPBB-73 cartridge is easy to reload, just like every other strait cases cartridge. The 7.92 FPBB-73 is an all-round copper plated bullet special suitable for sport and target shooting in the 7.92x24 mm caliber this for a resalable price. Basically we divide the 7.92x24 S cartridge in three users levels.

Level one : Soft target loads.

The soft target loads provide a very low recoil impulse, which increases the accuracy by a multiple hit shooting technique. The Soft target loads are special suitable for persons with wounded a weakened hands, junior shooters or very weak persons. The energy level of these loads is around the 300 Joule. This is still 80% more energy then the .32 ACP cartridge.

Level two : General safety loads.

The general safety loads are based on the preferred penetration depth of the FBI in calibrated gelatin. These safety loads are able to satisfy the FBI penetration demands with the 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet. Maximum penetration depth of 18 inch in bare calibrated gelatin and a minimum of 12 inch penetration on the FBI ballistic test protocol. The energy level of the safety loads is around the 410 Joule.

Level three : PDW loads.

The PDW loads are suitable for PDW use at midrange and provide a IPSC power factor in a pistol close to the minor class. These loads can be used for steel targets. We point out that the penetration depth in bare gelatin is more the 24 inch. The energy level is around the 560 Joule.

To reload cartridges in the 7.92 VBR-B caliber you need a special  7.92 VBR-B reload set. This reload set can be bought entirely or separately in components at us.

The reloadset contains:

    • One bullet seater die caliber  7.92 VBR-B.
    • One sizer die caliber 7.92 VBR-B.
    • One expander die  .32 Auto / 7.65 Browning.
    • One shellholder .30 CARBINE.
    • One seat plug for  .32 FMJ bullets.

 The 7.92x24 mm cases. Minimize

It is possible to use industrial 7.92x24 mm cases. They can be ordered at our store.

It is also possible to use the cases of industrial 7.92x24 mm ammunition.

It is also possible to modify .30 CARBINE cases to the 7.92x24 mm caliber. The .30 CARBINE cases need simply to be shortened to a length of 24 mm.

 The primers. Minimize

Some types of weapons can have problems with a blow-through of Small Pistol primer by the use of the high chamber pressure of the 7.92x24 mm caliber. We recommend the use of Small Rifle primers to sustain the chamber pressure of 3200 bar.

 The 7.92 FPBB-73 bullets. Minimize

The 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet is a special bullet intend for sport shooting with the 7.92x24 mm caliber. The 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet can be loaded on the 7.92x24 S as well on the 7.92x24 N cartridge. The 7.92 FPBB-73 is a copper plated bullet with a truncated cone. The copper plated bullet is made out a special lead alloy and allows the reloading of the 7.92x24 mm caliber for a low price.
7.92 FPBB-73 bullets are industrial manufactured and packed in a plastic bag of 500 pieces. A box counts 5.000 bullets. They can be ordered at our store.
WARNING! The .312 FPBB-73 bullet is made out a special lead alloy to sustain velocities up to 1500 fps - 457 m/s. Other industrial copper plated bullets can be too soft and sustain only velocities to 1200 fps - 365 m/s. We recommend only to use our .312 FPBB-73 bullets!

 The propellant. Minimize

The 7.92 FPBB-73 is a all-round bullet to reload the 7.92x24 mm caliber. His high weight and short dimensions allows to simulate the recoil impulse of various 7.92x24 mm cartridges.

Bullet 7.92 FPBB-73 with N 340

We provide three users loads for the 7.92x24 mm caliber.

These are:

Soft target loads: from 4.3 to 4.5 grains

General safety loads : from 5 to 5.3 grains

PDW loads: from 5.8 to 6 grains.

The cartridge over all lenght is 29.6 mm

Maximum allowed chamber pressure is 3200 bar / 46412 psi.

We recomend only to load to 6 grains, because near maximum average pressure, unknown tolerances may cause dangoures pressures!

Results caused by 10% powder lot-to-lot burning rate variations can occure. These variations  can increase the chamber pressure to 3100 bar / 44100 psi.

The maximum average pressure allowed is for the 7.92 VBR-B kaliber set on 3200 bar / 46412 psi.

!!! The increasing of the powder charge is on the entire risk of the reloader !!!

Body armor protection against the 7.92x24 S / FPBB-73 bullet. Minimize

WARNING! We recommend to be cautious when a 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet is fired from a converted Glock 7.92 at a NIJ level II / bulletproof vest. A high quality bullet proof vests will stop the 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet, however some very soft bullet proof vest hit at a soft underground where not able to stop the 7.92 FPBB-73 bullet. This is not exceptional! ( similar performance with 7.62x25 Tokarev and .357 magnum)

Concerning the additional test of the FBI test protocol for bullet proof vests, where two shots are fired in the same hole with the muzzle against the bullet proof vest, we mentioning that the 7.92 FPBB-73 is able to defeat a level II bullet proof vest under this conditions.

Impact at a NIJ Level III-A body armor.

None of our 7.92 FPBB-73 bullets have defeated a NIJ level III-A bullet proof vest, even not under the FBI test protocol conditions (two hits at the same impact hole with muzzle against the bullet proof vest)

We recommend the use of minimum a NIJ level III-A bullet proof vest to stop the 7.92 FPBB-73 bullets fired out the GLOCK 7.92 with standard 7.92 barrel!
